This policy explains what information is collected when you visit heatherfeikematherapy.com and how it is used. The site belongs to Heather Feikema Therapy, LICSW (“I,” “me”), a therapy practice seeing clients at Optimal Brain MN Clinic in Oakdale, Minnesota, and online.

Information you send me

If you use the contact form, I receive the name, email address, phone number (optional), and message you enter. I use it only to reply to you. The form is delivered by a form service called FormSubmit, which passes your message to my email inbox. If you call, text, or email me directly, I receive whatever you share.

Please keep messages brief and leave out detailed health information. A website form and regular email are not secure, private clinical channels. Scheduling and intake paperwork happen in the client portal at Optimal Brain MN Clinic, which is set up for that purpose.

Scheduling and third-party links

The “Schedule an appointment” buttons take you to my provider page at Optimal Brain MN Clinic, and some pages link to my Headway profile. Those are separate websites with their own privacy practices, and I'm not responsible for how they handle information. Please review their policies before you enter personal details.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how people find and use the site (for example, which pages are viewed and what kind of device is used). Google Analytics uses cookies and may collect your IP address and browsing activity on this site. I don't use this information to identify you personally. You can opt out with your browser's privacy settings, by blocking cookies, or with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

The site also loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers when a page loads.

What I don't do

• I don't sell or rent your information.
• I don't use the site to advertise to you or to track you across other websites.
• I don't knowingly collect information from children through this site. Parents and guardians are welcome to reach out on behalf of a child.

Your therapy records

This policy covers the website only. If you become a client, your clinical records are handled under federal and Minnesota privacy laws, including HIPAA, and you will receive the practice's separate Notice of Privacy Practices.

Not for emergencies

This website and my contact form are not monitored in real time. If you are in crisis or in danger, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
